What is the deal with recruiters these days? A few years ago recruiters that picked through sites like Monster.com and DICE.com used to send you relevant opportunities for the area in which you lived. I get bombarded by recruiters that must be receiving bonuses based on the numbers of emails they send out. I LIVE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA! Why are you sending me listing for every other area in the United States but Southern California?

I want to stay where I am currently at, I am happy here. I do not want to relocate, therefore I do not need listings sent to me for places like New Jersey(yuck), Illinois, Texas, or what every other godforsaken place you might be trying to recruit for.

Why am I writing this? I have written this so that I can send it back to recruiters that are doing it wrong so that they will hopefully update their information that they have in their databases and stop spamming me with worthless information. I feel that this is a bit friendlier than having this domain blacklisted for spamming.

Why are you reading this? Chances are you are a recruiter that I e-mailed this link to in response to one of your geographically incorrect marketing attempts. Or you could have found your way here by one of the various social media sites that happened to lead you here.

If you are a recruiter and you have something you would like to share with me that is in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, please feel free to reach out to me via this website to start up a conversation.

Thank You.

So I have decided to update my resume to a new format and I am having a bit of trouble letting go of the format that I have been using.

I paid a service a couple of hundred bucks back when I was unemployed about a year and a half ago, but it didn’t really seem to get me the results that I was looking for. I have since reverted back to the format that I was using as it has been successful in the past and seems to better showcase all of the things that I have done and what I am capable of doing.

My resume is long, but it is also a full showcase of me as a potential employee. It shows what I can do and what I can bring to the table. I am just trying to find a way to get all of this into a new format and yet present a better picture of me the potential employee in a smaller amount of space.
